Show and Tell - My Keys

Show and Tell this week is a request to see our keys.

Ours are kept in a jumble in a basket by the front door. Silly, really, since we use the back door.

We also keep spare walkie-talkies, sunglasses, the mezuzah, and other odds and ends in there.

The basket lives on the "shoe shelf," which started out life at Ikea as a finer item, but which was downgraded when we moved into this house. We pile shoes, bags, purses, things-which-belong-to-other-people, and books on it. It's a wonderful catch-all.

Sarah Louise - I updated the post to link to a definition. It's like a house blessing you affix to your door...only, a year later, we still haven't hung ours up.

we have a dish that serves this same purpose --
I love seeing how people deal with these ordinary things...where the keys go, where the bags are dropped...where the boots go.

Love the new look! I'm sure this is the trend for modern houses. We all need a stash place for keys, purses, library books, Target returns, kid backpacks, shoes, coats, dog leash, parcels to post, borrowed items from friends....
