Snow Day

Yes, it's actually snowing at my house. Real, honest-to-God snow. Not a wintry mix, not sleet - snow.

The kids, needless to say, are ecstatic.

We woke up this morning to icicles all around.

The girls have made the rounds of the neighborhood, exploring the iciness-factors at each house. Mine actually had a sleepover down the street last night, so we were able to sit up late in front of the fire and watch The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Eh. Prior to that, however, we went to another neighbor's house and watched Talledega Nights - totally hilarious!!! We laughed non-stop. And then repeated our favorite lines over and over once it ended. Highly recommended.

If you haven't seen it already, Lisa shared a cookie recipe yesterday. I made bread - honey whole wheat, YUM - and today Rice Pudding. But I'm too cold and lazy to post the recipes or even pictures just now. Maybe later. Doesn't help that I'm working from home and the rest of the country seems to be in work-mode, not stay-by-the-fire mode. Darn them.

Keep warm. Except those of you in Australia - stay cool!
