Insert Sigh of Relief Here

Last weekend, when the weather was more seasonal, Kris and I made plans to act all Christmas-like today. First, we'd ice skate at WFM on the plaza, then get our Christmas trees, head to our respective homes to decorate the trees, and then meet up on the steps of the Capitol for the annual Sing Along. Well, it was in the upper 70's today, yet we still did all of those Christmassy things. Except for decorate the tree - maybe tomorrow.

At the Sing Along, we met up with several other children from the school and their parents, and eventually separated from Kris and co. We headed down Congress with two other girls from Hazel's class, enjoying the carolling, music and festive sights. We ended up at Jo's Coffee Bar, my destination all along, and the girls had a late night snack and cocoa while the adults chatted. Now it's 9:30, and we're finally home, and the girls and Jesse are snuggling down.

It was a lovely day, but I'm glad it's over.
