In addition to celebrating Easter last weekend, we celebrated Purim. While in the past we've attended a fun-for-kids party at the temple, complete with groggers, costumes & shouting, this year we stayed home and baked.

I read the story of Esther and the evil Haman to the girls, and then made Hamantaschen. Shaped into three corners to represent his hat, these little guys are tricky! Many of mine fell flat, so I'll play around with the dough recipe next year. Regardless, the poppy filling was delicious, and the girls and I ate every last one.
